Welcome to cc coins
Up for auction is a Roman imitation barbarous issue coin of Tetricus I from 271-274 AD.
During the crisis of the 3rd century there was a widespread shortage of currency across the Roman Empire which sparked a rise in unofficial issues of coins from the provinces to meet a growing demand for small change.
